Why Partner with IFSA?

You need access to bright, motivated students from leading universities with excellent science programs to advance projects and fill your talent pipeline. We have those students. And when you invite them to your London workplace to gain professional experience, there’s a lot for everyone to gain.
1. Get fresh approaches to challenges.
- Work with bright students from top science programs.
- Access out of the box thinking tailored to your challenges.
- Turn student curiosity into real business value.
Students have great communication and teamwork skills. [And] they can dive deep on one topic and be adaptive and flexible within many others.
—James Moore Jr., PhD, professor of bioengineering, Imperial College
2. Make progress on research-based initiatives and projects.
From biotech principles to health care theory, IFSA students bring solid technical knowledge and offer new thinking as challenge project participants. These examples show how IFSA students have helped advance important research and public health efforts:
- Investigated adjuvants that could be used to improve the effectiveness of vaccines
- Gathered and analyzed toxicity data
- Developed a cloud-based AI app to help predict the safety of medications and chemicals
- Developed policy recommendations to help direct investments to support women’s health
Take a closer look:
Working with The Dove Foundation for Global Change, IFSA Health Sciences Career Accelerator students completed a report titled, Closing the Women’s Health Gap: A Holistic Policy Framework for Global Action. This comprehensive policy report examined key issues across women’s health—from endometriosis to cardiovascular disease to migraines—quantifying quality-of-life burdens and proposing six evidence-based policy recommendations for global investors.
3. Partner with a global leader in education.
Students have ongoing support and mentoring from the IFSA team in London, so you can be confident we’ll keep your needs at the forefront.
Known for academic excellence and dedication to intercultural learning, IFSA has delivered quality international programs to students all over the world since 1989. In spring 2023, we launched our first Career Accelerator—IFSA Tech Career Accelerator—to bridge the gap in soft skills, practical application of technical content knowledge, and professional experience that creates problems for employers looking for early-career hires.
IFSA Biosciences Career Accelerator first ran in 2025, followed by IFSA Health Sciences Career Accelerator in 2026.
4. Stand out as a responsible corporate citizen.
Whether you host a challenge project or workshop, or join us as a guest speaker, working with IFSA provides a simple, repeatable way to do good by supporting young people and driving economic opportunity.

Input from leading U.S. universities.
Faculty from nine universities* helped develop curriculum. Our Biosciences program is designed for students of biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, biotechnology, and microbiology. Our Health Sciences program targets health sciences, nursing, pre-med, global health, public health, and health administration.
Capable, motivated students.
Guidance and advising are built into our program. That means you’ll work with students who have thought about their goals and prepared for cultural differences. Most are third-years (juniors); some are second-year (sophomores) or fourth-year (seniors).
